Services

Structures

FE&D is a leader in all aspects of structural engineering for onshore, offshore, platforms, units, vessels, and components. This covers concept design, FEED, detail design, analysis, verification, classification, regulatory coordination, special problem solving, structural integrity management, strengthening and repair, life extension, and expert witness and litigation.

Offshore Units

FE&D has extensive hands-on experience in design, analysis, verification, regulatory compliance, construction surveillance, inspection, SMR (strengthening, maintenance and repair), and structural integrity management of fixed and floating offshore units. These include, jackets, compliant towers, jack-ups, floating production, storage, and off-loading (FPSO), tension leg platform (TLP), and Spar.

Regulations, Codes, and Standards

FE&D have been involved in development of API and ISO international standards offshore through participation in committees, technical panels and work groups. Our experience and deep understanding of the requirements and applicability thereof of the regulations, codes, and standards provide the client with significant savings in time and effort to meet these requirements.

Risk & Reliability

FE&D developed specialized software and used commercial packaged to perform risk analysis for both onshore process plants and offshore structures. All types of failure have been analyzed including fire, blast, oil spill, collision or allision, as well as corrosion, fatigue, and accidental environmental conditions resulting in mooring failures, mudslides, and structural damage or collapse and pipeline buckling or walking.

Arctic

Extensive and unique Arctic experience in the Canadian Beaufort Sea including: operational logistics, full scale instrumentation, testing, and monitoring, damage assessment and repair, design and analysis of Arctic exploration and production platforms, Regulatory coordination, and participation inĀ  Development of API and ISO Arctic Standards.
